Cheltenham’s Cloudtamers Begins Work With UCAS
Cheltenham-based company Cloudtamers, who specialise in cloud-based ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions, have an inspiring client list that includes the Museum of London Archaeology, UK Youth, Brunel Capital and Warren Evans. Their latest client is UCAS, the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service, who they are working with to implement a new financial management system.
Last year, more than 700,000 people applied to study at universities and colleges in the UK, and as the main point of connection between the students and higher education, it’s vital that UCAS has internal systems that are reliable, flexible and scalable to cope with demand at peak times.
Rebecca Eden, CIO of Cloudtamers, explained how the project will be implemented: “We use a powerful global-brand cloud-based ERP system as the basis of the project and tailor the system to a client’s specific requirements with our in-house team. All of the software we develop sits on NetSuite, the cloud ERP system we are deploying for UCAS, making this world-class product even more versatile and capable.
“It’s great to be working with such a household name,” continued Rebecca. “UCAS is a great organisation and it’s a joy to play a part in supporting students applying to higher education.”
Karen Janes, UCAS’ Head of Finance said: “Having an efficient financial management system that performs well is crucial to our business. Hundreds of thousands of students and hundreds of universities and colleges from across the UK rely on our service each year, so having the right product in place is important. We’re pleased to be working with Cloudtamers, as they’re highly experienced in this area and offer a lot of support”.
